Welcome to Be Still and Unplug,  a place where faith meets intentional living in a tech-driven world.

About Bea

I’m Bea Stillan, and like many of you, I’ve felt the pull of screens stealing precious moments from my family, my relationship with God, and even myself. This blog was born out of a desire to hit pause, to be still, and to courageously unplug from distraction.

Here, you’ll find more than just tips for reducing screen time. You’ll discover how stillness can become your greatest strength, how unplugging can deepen your faith, and how living boldly with less tech can transform your relationships and your soul.

Whether you’re a busy parent, a seeker of peace, or someone craving more meaning beyond the scroll, this space is for you. Together, we’ll explore spiritual practices, practical unplugging strategies, family connection ideas, and the courage to live simply in a complex world.
I invite you to join the journey—to be still, unplug, and live boldly.

My Story

There was a moment when everything I believed felt tested.
My peace unraveled. Sleep faded. My heart wrestled with questions that no sermon, no opinion, and no search could satisfy.
In that quiet desperation, I finally did something I’d avoided for years: I opened the Bible for myself.  I was not looking to find answers someone else had framed, but to truly listen.
What I found inside wasn’t just scripture. It was a presence. A clarity.

A shift I can only describe as grace.
That moment marked the beginning of this slower life.
Not an escape, but a return. A return to stillness, to truth, to the kind of faith that holds firm when everything else shakes.
And that is why this space exists:

To honor the slow turning back. To witness the quiet restoration that begins not in resolution, but in reverent stillness.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Our Mission

Be Still and Unplug exists to inspire and empower individuals and families to step away from the noise of technology and step into the peace and boldness found in God’s presence. We believe true strength comes from stillness, and intentional living rooted in faith creates lasting connections—with God, loved ones, and ourselves. Through practical tips, personal stories, and spiritual encouragement, we help you reclaim your time, embrace simplicity, and live courageously in a distracted world.

Why Stillness Matters

We are constantly asked to be more — do more, want more, scroll more. But stillness isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline.
Stillness makes room for presence.
Unplugging makes space for clarity.
Faith gives it all meaning.
I believe in creating a life that isn’t just full — but faithful.
That’s what I’m doing here, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

I’m glad you are here

I welcome all, the weary or rested, the uncertain or anchored. Stillness isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline
